Jonathan Karamilikis is an Australian professional poker player mostly traveling his home country and New Zealand's live tournament circuit. His best accomplishment to date is winning the Asia Pacific Poker Tour's Main Event in Sydney, Australia in 2010 for almost half a million Australian dollars.
Intro
Karamilikis has numerous cashes in Australia's local poker events such as Aussie Millions, Australia and New Zealand Poker Tour, Asia Pacific Poker Tour and others. He also has a couple of World Series of Poker money finishes to his name as well as a decent European Poker Tour record which he scored at the 2012 EPT Barcelona.
Background
Jonathan’s first experience with poker was in play-money games with his friends in Adelaide, South Australia. He was instantly drawn to the game and played all the way through to the end of his first, and only, year in university. Once Jonathan realized that he could make a living playing poker, he ditched his Accounting and Property studies for life at the felt. Jonathan built his bankroll through Freerolls as he learned his trade.
World Series of Poker
The Aussie has a total of three World Series of Poker cashes on his list of accomplishments, with his best WSOP days yet to come. He finished in 446th place at the 2010 WSOP Main Event and took home $31,647 in cash. He came back to the World Series in 2011 for two more money finishes. First he placed 81st in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em - Triple Chance event and then took 275th position in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. He collected a total of $6,964 in that year's series.

European Poker Tour
In August, 2012 Karamilikis went to Barcelona, Spain for the Season 9 inaugural EPT festival and scored three money finishes there for a total of €111,346 in tournament winnings. He won the €2,000 No-Limit Hold'em - 6 Max event, finished eighth in the €1,850 High Roller and then took 11th place in the €5,000 EPT Barcelona Main Event.

Other Achievements
In November 2007, Karamilikis had his first big live cash in a local tournament – the Skycity Adelaide Championship Series Main Event – for almost A$31,000 and never looked back. In January 2009, Jonathan took 2nd place in the Aussie Millions A$1,000 No-Limit Hold‘em event for over A$120,000. He followed that result up in January 2010 when he took top prize in the Aussie Millions A$1,500 No-Limit Hold‘em Bounty Event for over A$122,000, bringing his career tournament earnings to over $310K. However, that wasn't Karamilikis' peak. In December of that very same year Karamilikis won his first major poker title by taking down the APPT Sydney Main Event for over A$450,000.
Sponsorship
In April, 2010 Karamilikis signed a sponsorship deal with the Full Tilt Poker online poker site and became the site's Red Pro. He maintained the status until Full Tilt seized its operations in 2011.
