Jason James is a Canadian poker player best known for winning Event #75: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
James' live cashes started in June 2009. He enjoyed his first five-figure scores in 2010 and added another four to his resume in 2011. Two of those cashes came at the 2011 Fallsview Poker Classic, where James finished sixth and seventh in two side events, winning C43,520 ($43,737) and C$28,271 ($28,412), respectively.
In February 2014, James finished third in the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic Main Event for C$163,439 ($146,806).
During the 2017 WSOP, he finished second in an online $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship for $146,203, missing out on a bracelet to India's Nipun Java.
James continued racking up cashes in his native Canada and at the WSOP each summer. In 2023, he was the third-place finisher in the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty event, which earned him $179,593. A year later, at the 2024 WSOP, James was part of the team that won the $1,000 Tag Team event for $190,910 and a gold bracelet.
