Biography

Cyndy Violette is an American professional poker player and business owner who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She has over $1 million in live recorded tournament earnings, with a majority of that coming under the World Series of Poker umbrella. In 2004, Violette won her first and only WSOP bracelet, after being the last player standing in the $2,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split event for $135,900.

Background

Like many lovers of the game, her introduction to poker began with playing with family members as a child. Her family then moved to Las Vegas when she was 12 years old.

At the age of 21, Violette started playing poker in casinos, and in 1985, she cashed for $74,000 in a 7-Card Stud tournament, which was the biggest prize won by a woman at the time.

World Series of Poker

Violette has recorded 44 cashes at WSOP events for a combined earnings of $948,842. Her first in-the-money finish came in 1987 after she got fifth in that series' $500 Ladies Limit 7-Card Stud tournament. Her next WSOP result came eight years later in the same event. Violette's most recent scores at the WSOP came in 2018, cashing in four events.

She came close to being a two-time bracelet winner in 2005 in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event but was defeated in heads-up play by poker icon Erik Seidel. Violette bagged $295,970 for her efforts, which is also her best tournament payday to date.
