Robert "Bobby" James is a British poker player who is a community and content manager for an online poker site by day, but by night, he gets his grind on in multi-table tournaments. James' largest live cash came in the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus Main Event, where he finished fifth for a career-best $271,400.
James regularly streams his online poker sessions on his Twitch channel, which has over 1,200 followers. Although public online poker results are unavailable, live results are in the public domain. In the live poker realm, James has cashes dating back to July 2015, but it is his results in 2024 that caught the eye.
He was the runner-up in a €1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo event at EPT Barcelona in September 2024 for what was a then-career-best €19,850 ($21,962). A month later, James finished 19th in the $1,100 Eureka Main Event at EPT Cyprus for $13,260 before winning the $1,100 Mixed Games 8-Game event at EPT Cyprus a day later for $11,200.
Three days after his 8-Game victory, James finished 12th in the $2,200 NLHE Eureka High Roller for $24,880, a new career high. He then finished fifth in the EPT Cyprus Main Event for $271,400, his first six-figure haul.
