Leg 4 of the 888poker UK Poker League Sees the Tour Head to Manchester From April 15

Manchester, the city that brought us musical geniuses like Oasis, The Stone Roses, and The Smiths, and football giants Manchester United and Manchester City, is gearing up to host the fourth leg of the inaugural 888poker LIVE UK Poker League (UKPL).

UKPL Manchester runs at the Grosvenor Casino Bury New Road from April 15 through April 21. Hundreds of poker players from al walks of life will head to 2 Ramsgate Street in Manchester, each sharing the common goal of becoming an 888poker LIVE UKPL champion.

The 888poker LIVE UKPL Manchester festival kicks off on April 15 with a ��90 buy-in satellite awarding seats in the ��250 Opening Voyage and the ��560 Main Event. A carbon copy of that satellite also runs on April 16 while the ��250 NLHE Opening Voyage Day 1A and ��150 Pot-Limit Omaha 4/5/6 Card events are in full swing.

April 18 is when Day 1 of the ��1,100 NLHE High Roller shuffles up and deals. Forty-eight players have turned out for the two most recent UKPL High Rollers. William Henderson won ��13,620 in Edinburgh, and Matthew Davenport collected ��17,770 in Luton. 888poker will hope the UKPL Manchester High Roller attracts similar numbers to Coventry, where Mohammed Hussain came out on top of a 103-strong crowd and walked away with ��23,800 after a three-way deal.

The ��560 buy-in UKPL Manchester Main Event features four starting flights running from April 18-20. Day 2, the final day's play, starts at 12:00 p.m. prompt on April 21, continuing until only one player has all the chips in play. The final table's action will be streamed on the 888poker Twitch channel, so be sure to tune in.

The 888poker UKPL Main Events have proved popular during their debut season. The UKPL Coventry Main Event saw 371 players buy-in, and Jamie Le clinch the title, trophy, and ��37,605 in prize money.

Michael Kane emerged triumphantly in Edinburgh, the proud Scotsman ensuring the Edinburgh title remained in Scotland; Kane banked ��25,208 after overcoming a 311-player field.

Last time out, in Luton, 342 players bought in, and Ian Swan was the last man standing. Swan helped himself to ��24,530, which happened to be the largest haul of his live poker career.
