Charity Series of Poker

This Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Illuminarium in Las Vegas, the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) is back with another poker tournament benefiting a great cause.

"Chip in for Autism" starts at 3:30 p.m. PST with a silent auction and cocktail hour, and the tournament kicks off at 5 p.m. PST. For $300, guests receive an entry into the tournament along with the cocktail hour ($100 by itself).

Each player will start with 10,000 chips and receive an additional 20,000 chips for each add-on. There are unlimited re-entries and add-ons, and as is the case with any charity tournament, splashing chips around and rebuying multiple times is certainly welcomed. If you've ever attended a CSOP event, you know they are laid back, fun, and everyone has a good time win or lose.

That said, there is a sizable prize at stake for the winner $5,000 along with other cool prizes for others who run deep in the tournament.

Among those who will serve as bounties in the tournament are Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Daniil Miromanov and left-wing William Carrier.

What's more, the event will be taking place during Sunday Night Football between the New York Jets at the Las Vegas Raiders, and not only will the game be shown, it will so so as part of the ultimate watch party with the largest 360-degree screens in Sin City. Using state-of-the-art surround sound and projection mapping, prepare to get in the game and experience an immersive stadium environment that will bring the game to life.

For those that don't know what it is like to watch a football game at the Illuminarium, 8 News Now recently spotlighted it in a segment.

What You'll Be Playing For

The upcoming Charity Series of Poker event is to benefit Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT), a Las Vegas-based organization that provides information on therapies, support services, and resources for families and individuals impacted with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disorders.

The event takes place inside one of Las Vegas's best attractions AREA15 at the Illuminarium. All attendees will be treated to an open bar and appetizers before the start of the tournament.

This will be the 55th CSOP event and figures to bring out some high-profile poker players and industry personnel, much like the previous 54 editions. The Charity Series of Poker, founded by poker pro Matt Stout, has helped raise money for many worthy causes, including the Las Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association, St. Jude Children's Hospital, among others.
