ASPT Puts Players First

ASPT proudly introduces the "Player First" concept, an approach that prioritizes the players' experience above all else. Renowned Japanese professional poker players have meticulously designed the tournament structure, ensuring the best and most engaging gameplay possible for all players.

ASPT is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the global poker scene. As the first Japanese organization to partner with Asia Poker Arena (CTP), ASPT has been making waves with its innovative approach to tournaments. The inaugural ASPT Korea 2023, hosted at "Paradise City" in South Korea, garnered overwhelming support, attracting over 2,000 entries and a prize pool exceeding 1.3 billion KRW (approximately $1 million USD).

Affordable Buy-Ins and Diverse Schedule

One stand-out feature of the festival is that it is dedicated to providing a comprehensive poker experience to players of all backgrounds and bankrolls. The tournament series caters to a wide range of players by offering buy-ins ranging from $150 (USD) to over $4,000 (USD). This diversity showcases ASPT's commitment to being a truly inclusive "Poker Festival" that embraces all poker enthusiasts that is not just limited to Hold'em players.

There is a significant emphasis on mixed games, catering to players seeking variety and new challenges. With a diverse array of events featuring different types of games and buy-in ranges, ASPT truly embodies the spirit of poker in all its forms.

Late Registration and Flatter Payouts

ASPT tackles the issue of unlimited re-entries by implementing shorter late registration periods for events. By offering a wide range of tournaments throughout the schedule, players always have a chance to participate in various events, indirectly mitigating the prevalence of excessive re-entries.

In line with its player-centric approach, ASPT employs a flatter payout structure with 15% of players in the money. This means that deep runs are more rewarding, distributing larger payouts to a wider pool of players.

Round-for-Round Concept

The ASPT has introduced a unique method to combat stalling around the bubble, looking to improve the player experience and remove the need for long, drawn-out hand-for-hand duels. Round-for-Round means that they play a full orbit on each table before pausing the action for the other tables to catch up. When the bubble bursts, the round continues and any players that bust in that round would be eligible for a share of the cashes. As an example, if there are 20 players paid and 22 players remaining, and during Round-for-Round three players all bust then those three players would split the two min-cash spots.
