PokerNews to Live Report at the Colorado Poker Championship Main Event Sept. 23-27
Live poker tournament action rolls on at Bally's Black Hawk West this month, as the Bally's Colorado Poker Championship hits the home stretch. The 26-event series began Sept. 8, and culminates in a pair of big tournaments in the final week of the festival, both of which will be live reported by PokerNews.
The $1,450 Colorado Poker Championship Main Event runs Sept. 23-27 and offers three starting flights, including Day 1A (Thursday, Sept. 23), Day 1B (Friday, Sept. 24) and Day 1C (Saturday, Sept. 25).
All surviving players from that trio of Day 1 flights come back to Bally's Black Hawk West for Day 2 on Sunday, Sept. 26. The tournament plays to a nine-handed final table on Day 2, and those nine players return on Monday, Sept. 27, and play until a champion is crowned.

The $1,450 is an unlimited re-entry tournament. Each of the Day flights play 40-minute levels, with late registration available through the beginning of Level 10.
Players start with 30,000 chips, and the levels increase to 60 minutes for Day 2 and Day 3.
The big-money tournaments don't end with the Main Event, as the Colorado Poker Championship finishes with the $3,000 High Roller on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
The High Roller is scheduled as a one-day event, with 40,000 starting chips and 40-minute levels. Re-entry into the High Roller is available through the beginning of Level 10.
PokerNews will be on-site for live reporting coverage of both the Main Event and the High Roller at the Colorado Poker Championship.
If attendance from previous events at the festival offers any indication, the Main Event and the High Roller could see sizable prize pools emerge. The first tournament in the series, the $450 Kick-Off, drew 593 entries for a $220,003 prize pool.
