The Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) is currently running on PokerStars, and although it may be a far cry from the boisterous rails and passionate poker fans that attend the live event, there's still something to be proud about for all Brazilians.
That's according to PokerStars Ambassador Andre Akkari, who says that the BSOP has earned its place as the biggest event in Latin America and one of the biggest in the world. And that isn't changing now it's being hosted online.

Akkari says that the BSOP Online offers players not only the chance to be a BSOP champion and to win a trophy, but also to face off against the best poker players in Latin America.
"We have the elite in online poker in Brazil!"
"Brazil at the moment it's where you can find some amazing players, some of which are among the top in the world," says Akkari. "You have to keep your eyes on Rafael Moraes, Yuri Dzivielevski and Bruno Volkmann, and some others. We have the elite in online poker in Brazil!"
2021 Plans
With live poker reopening apace in the United States and around the world, we asked Akkari if he was excited about the return of live poker? You bet.
"More than you can imagine!" he said. "Ill try to play as much as I can in all the big online series and I am so happy that the live events are on in United States. So Ill play the Hard Rock event in August, World Series of Poker in October and some more tournaments at the end of the year. I am hungry to get back!"
