Ka Kwan "kaju85" Lau Takes Down the $10,300 PLO Main Event
Ka Kwan "kaju85" Lau triumphed in the $10,300 PLO Main Event and secured a $263,099 payout following a heads-up deal with Danish grinder "LamassuShedu."
The majority of the $1,340,000 prize pool was dished out among the final seven players, with start of the day chip leader Joao "vovo_leo" Studart being the final table's first casualty. Studart collected $59,046 for his efforts.
Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja and Bulgaria's "terror777727" were the next players to fall, the latter banking the tournament's final five-figure prize, namely $98,178.
Lau was aggressive throughout the final table's proceedings and that aggression paid off with the scalp of PLO expert Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen and "TheBrodie5". Lau went into his heads-up battle with LamassuShedu holding a near two-to-one chip lead, but PLO is a high variance game so nobody blamed the heads-up duo for striking a deal.
Lau was crowned champion when his bottom set held against LamassuShedu's top two pair and open-ended straight draw, securing him a $263,099 prize and leaving the Dane to collect a $234,365 runner-up prize.

Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist Is the $1,050 PLO Main Event Champion
Sweden's Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist helped himself to the $1,050 PLO Main Event title, an accolade that came with a $153,356 payout.
All eyes were on Connor "blanconegro" Drinan going into the final day's action because the uber-talented grinder had not managed to win a 2021 SCOOP title after banking five last year. Drinan missed out on a final table appearance when e fell in 12th place.
Julian "jutrack" Track burst the final table bubble, before the early chip leader Tyler "Juicy_J_93" Jardine became the first casualty of the final table.
"Liqqa," "wngambler" and "javel" busted out in success. The tournament progressed to heads-up when Nuno "BrigaDatada" Capucho fell in third.
Nordkvist started the one-on-one battle with twice as many chips as Sorgatto, and it did not take too long for Nordkvist to get the job done. Nordkvist flopped top two pair, which held against the aces and flush draw of his opponent. Both players reeled in six-figure prizes, Sorgatto $106,859 and champion Nordkvist $153,356.

NLHE Main Events Reach Their Final Table
Hungary's "kZhh" is the man to catch going into the final table of the $10,300 NLHE Main Event where a whopping $1,130,396 top prize is waiting for the last player standing.
The Hungarian may have 36 big blinds more than anyone else in the chasing pack, but what a star-studded bunch those players are.
Dan "Dannyz0r" Borlan has been among the chip leaders throughout this tournament, while David "MissOracle" Yan needs no introduction. The United Kingdom's Jareth "jareth3542" East could be the final table's dark horse if he can keep the likes of Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph and PLO Main Event champion Ka Kwan "kaju85" Lau at bay.
The PokerNews Live Reporting team is on hand to bring you exclusive coverage of this stacked final table this evening. Do not forget to tune in.

Tune into the $10K NLHE Main Event final table action
Almost $840,000 awaits the winner of the $1,050 NLHE Main Event, and it is Greece's "alimounda" who is on course for that bankroll-boosting prize.
The Greek grinder returns to the action armed with the equivalent of 91 big blinds, so will fancy their chances of glory, that is for sure.
"PopAShush" of Ireland and "j_peso4" Of Canada have 80 and 71 big blinds respectively. There is a sizeable drop-off in chips to the next group of players, with fourth-placed Bernado "betsoares" Soares holding 38 big blinds.
We have to give a shout out to PokerStars Ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis who came agonizingly close to reaching this final table. The popular Dutchman fell in 17th place in front of an army of more than 25,000 viewers on his ever-popular Twitch stream.
