4-Max Awards Biggest Prize of the Day

Day 7 of the 2021 PASCOOP would see a bit of overlay for the first time in several events as the Event #14 series rebuys at $50, $15 and $5 would see either small overlay or reduced rake throughout the three tournaments. That certainly hasn't been a theme in the series as most of the tournaments have covered their numbers with some room to spare.

In the High event, when all the rebuys and add-ons were tallied up, it wound up just two entries shy of making the number for a whopping $100 of free money added by PokerStars PA. It would be "jbrink22" topping the 195-entry field for $3,970.

Then, there was the Medium event, which saw enough entries to meet the $10,000 guarantee but only if some of the rake was shifted over. Therefore, it wound up being a reduced-rake event with a four-way chop ending things. Assuming the minimum $200 was left over, it was "ActuallLy" who locked up slightly the biggest prize with $1,316 while "jessedoczzz" got $1,305 and "WWCD 187" $1,176. The prolific "ChrundleTheGr8" managed to get the win and $1,376.

The Low event had the biggest overlay with $1,125 and "proletariat55" and "Goosehunter14" enjoyed the biggest slices of that, chopping for $728 and $616, respectively.

The biggest prize of the day, meanwhile, was actually awarded in Event #15-H: $100 NLHE [4-Max], $15K GTD which actually produced a prize pool of nearly $22,000. One-bullet wonder "4TH3K1D$" managed to get the best of the short-handed action and scoop it for $4,211.

It was a three-way chop ending the Medium four-max with "waltsnotdeadyet" grabbing the lion's share at $1,806 as "blackbear326" and "Pkid8658" secured $1,291 and $1,430, respectively. It was the second bink for "waltsnotdeadyet" as they also shipped 09-L: $5 NLHE [Escalating Antes] for $444.

Finally, another solo winner emerged in the Low with "markholmes27" winning for $801.

Some interesting tournaments are on tap for Saturday. Then, it gets a bit more niche with 5-card pot-limit Omaha for $100, $30 and $10. Those have guarantees of $10K, $5K and $2K. Finally, PASCOOP-18 will be the only heads-up events of the series, dealt in the zoom format and with all of the prize money going to the bounty pool. The unique event has buy-ins of $50, $15 and $5 with guarantees of $15K, $7.5K and $2.5K.
