Ole Schemion

He came into the day with a big chip lead and finished Day 2 with an overwhelming lead as well. Shyngis Satubayev of Kazakhstan claimed the Day 2 chip lead with 1,074,000 in chips, worth a whopping 215 big blinds at the start of Day 3. Day 2 of the 4,300 Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker came to an end after six levels of 60 minutes. Day 1a and Day 1b attracted 330 entries in total, 150 of them made it through to Day 2.

Second in chips is none other than German juggernaut Ole Schemion, who's well on his way to another big score in Holland Casino Amsterdam. Schemion is the 2012 Main Event champion, won the 2016 25K High Roller, and finished runner-up in two 10K High Rollers as well over the years. Schemion's big boost came when he eliminated Teun Mulder when Mulder called the five-bet shove of Schemion with ace-king. Schemion held pocket jacks and those held throughout the board.

Jesse Liljgren started third in chips at the start of the day and finished in the same exact spot at the end of Day 3. The top five is completed by two Dutch players, Pascal Vos and Gert Jan Albers.

A slew of big names are still in the hunt such as Hassan Sey who already won a "bordje" during the festival. Christopher Frank, Jonathan Abdellatif, Steve ODwyer, Jan Bednar, David Hu, Paul Tedesci, Paul Hoefer, Marcel Vonk, Bart Lybaert, and the shortest stack on Day 2, Sonny Franco.

Defending Champion Alberto Stegeman Eliminated

Another 16 players registered at the start of Day 2, which kicked off at 7 p.m. after the turbo Day 1b flight wrapped off in the early hours of the day. Together, the field created a total prize pool of 1,370,160 with 47 out of the 50 remaining players cashing this year. A mincash is worth 8,632 while the winner will walk away with the massive first-place prize of 260,878 as well as the signature plate trophy, affectionally known as the "bordje".

Alberto Stegeman came into Day 2 ready to defend his title but he ran his last 19 big blinds into the jacks of his opponent while he held tens and got no help from the board. Ryan Riess busted on the feature table with ace-five against the jack-nine of Frederico Silva. Silva turned a pair and made a straight on the river to paint an even prettier picture. Hossein Ensan also busted at some point during the day.

Day 3 restarts at 1:30 p.m. local time on November 30 with Level 16 with a small blind of 2,500, big blind of 5,000, and a big blind ante of 5,000. Ten levels of play have been scheduled with a break after every two levels but everything is subject to change.
