Julien Martini Secures 2019 Poker Masters $10,000 Big Bet Mix Title

France��s Julien Martini now has more than $4.5 million in live poker tournament winnings after winning the $10,000 Big Bet Mix event at the 2019 Poker Masters. The Frenchman outlasted 51 opponents on his way to banking the $166,400 first place prize.

The final day��s action started with only six players in the mix, each guaranteed $31,200 for their efforts. Day 1 saw Erik Seidel and Yuri Martins Dzivielevski bust in eighth and seventh-place, the latter��s elimination bringing the curtain down on proceedings.
Stephen Chidwick started the final table with 65 per cent of the chips in play, but was rocked by a couple of players doubling through him.
Pedro Bromfman busted in sixth place during a No Limit 2-7 Single Draw round, drawing with a 10-7 and losing out to Kahle Burns�� 8-6. Fifth place went to Chidwick who endured a torrid time at the felt. His demise was completed during No Limit Hold��em, Chidwick��s jack-nine suited losing to the ace-queen of Sam Soverel.
This gifted Soverel the chip lead but he was still the next player to bust. Soverel lost out to Burns during a round of No Limit 2-7 Single Draw.
This left three players in the hunt for the title and they became two when Netherlands�� Jorryt van Hoof fell by the wayside in a three way all-in during 2-7. Martini, who was down to one big blind a one stage, made an 8-7 to bust van Hoof and double through Burns.
The final hand took place in No Limit Hold��em. Martini raised with ace-eight and Burns called with king-three. The ten-four-five flop saw Burns check-call a continuation bet from Martini. The jack of spades landed on the turn and both players checked. The river put three spades out there and Burns moved all-in for 3,000,000 into a 1,500,000 pot. Martini called with ace-high, his hand was good and the double WSOP bracelet winner Burns busted in second-place.
