The World Series of Poker returns to The Star Sydney this November and one man who we fully expect to descend on the casino is Brisbanes Alex Lynskey.

Lynskey is a phenomenal poker tournament specialist who has fond memories of The Star Sydney thanks to it being the venue he became a WSOP Circuit champion. Back in 2018, Lynskey topped a field of 1,191 entrants in the WSOP International Circuit Sydney Main Event, a tournament that saw a $2,382,000 prize pool created. Lynskey, who finished ninth in the 2017 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas for US$1.5 million, walked away with $422,796 and a coveted WSOP-C gold ring.

Going back-to-back in such a prestigious tournament would be no mean feat, but Lynskey is definitely capable of walking away as a WSOP-C Sydney champion again.

Should the Main Event not go to plan for Lynskey and everyone else who enters, there are 13 other chances to win a gold WSOP-C ring between November 14th and December 9th. All 14 tournaments have guaranteed prize pool, a first for the WSOP Circuit Sydney. This includes a $2.2 million guarantee on the Main Event and $1 million on both the $5K Challenge and the $20,000 High Rollers event.
