Yesterday was a huge day for Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis and his thousands of poker fans from around the world. The PokerStars Ambassador took second place in the WCOOP-30-H: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max], $500K Gtd for $91,695 live in front of thousands of his fans on his Twitch channel.

Final Table Action

The stream began on the second day of the event hand for hand on the bubble with 42 players remaining out of the original field of 327 entrants and 41 getting paid at least $4,279. The money was quickly reached after United Kingdom's Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves was eliminated in 42nd place.

The action was hand for hand again on the final table bubble with ten players remaining. Hungary's "kZhh" four-bet jammed with ace-queen suited was eliminated on the bubble after Uruguay's Joaquin "elmelogno4" Melogno called with kings and proceeded to hit quads on the board.

Lex Veldhuis began the final table with the chip lead much to the excitement of his Twitch fans.

Austria's Moritz "MuckCallOK" Dietrich jammed the button with ace-jack and Benjamin BC1989RF Chalot tanked before he called off his stack from the small blind with ace-ten. The board ran all blanks and Chalot was the first player eliminated in ninth place for $13,446.

Germany's "P0KERPR02.0" took the chip lead before the next elimination took place before Dietrich was back at it once again to eliminate another opponent. Brazil's Lincon "Lincownz" Freitas de Oliveira (eighth - $16,907) three-bet jammed with ace-queen suited and didn't get there against after Dietrich called with kings.

Finland's "EEE27" was the next to go in seventh place for $22,410. Brazil's Thaigo "KKremate" Crema opened from the cutoff before "EEE27" three-bet jammed with ace-jack from the button. Veldhuis woke up with queens and made the call to eliminate his opponent.

Veldhuis then took out his first and only opponent at the final table. Finland's Joaquin "elmelogno4" Melogno (sixth - $22,410) limped the button with queen-eight suited and Veldhuis opted to check with jack-six off. Veldhuis nailed a full house on the flop and got his opponent to call off on the river after his eight paired up on the turn.

United Kingdom's "GODofHU" then took a commanding chip lead with five players remaining with more than double the stack of Veldhuis who was in second place. The chip stack of "GODofHU" grew even further in a blind vs. blind battle that eliminated Crema in fifth place for $39,373. "GODofHU" limped the small blind with jacks and won the flip after he called a jam by Crema in the big blind with big slick.

"Never playing you again in my life if I can help it," Veldhuis said. "I was grey before the match. I look like Santa now."

Dietrich was the next to hit the rail in fourth place for $52,189. He jammed for 12 big blinds with king-jack suited on the button only to run into the kings held by "P0KERPR02.0." The runout was a sick one with both players winding up with a full house with a king and two jacks on the board.

At this point, "GODofHU" had nearly triple the amount of chips of both his opponents who were close together one chips. Veldhuis dished out a compliment in the chatbox to the chip leader during three-handed play.

"Never playing you again in my life if I can help it," Veldhuis said. "I was grey before the match. I look like Santa now."

Veldhuis began to chip up at the hands of "P0KERPR02.0" who became short on chips. "P0KERPR02.0" was eliminated in third place for $69,177 after jamming seven-six suited from the small blind and not improving against the king-ten held by "GODofHU" in the big blind.

"GODofHU" began heads-up play with a nearly 2:1 chip advantage of Veldhuis. Quickly into heads-up play, "GODofHU" clicked the deal button and stated, "37K for you Lex. Don't forget that."

"I've done worse," Veldhuis responded. "Flipped a coin for more than that bud! Calm your titties."

Play continued to go on and "GODofHU" built up a 5:1 chip advantage. The final hand began simply enough with Veldhuis completing the blinds from the small blind with nine-six suited and his opponent checking behind with trey-deuce. It was a bit of a set-up with "GODofHU" flopped bottom two pair while Veldhuis flopped top pair. "GODofHU" opened he called a jam by Veldhuis. Veldhuis was asking for a six on his stream for a better two pair but "GODofHU" improved to a full house on the turn to win the WCOOP title and the $121,542 top prize.
