Final Table Action
Triton Ambassador Jason Koon was first out at the final table when he stuffed in Q?10? against the pocket nines of Bryn Kenney and couldn't get there.
Beh Kok would also find himself short and all in with his own queen-ten offsuit, but he'd go out in fifth when Soyza's A?8? held up.
Kenney would make it two Americans in three to head to payouts when he ran A?9? into Soyza's A?K?.
Greenwood then got lucky on Ivan Leow when he cracked pocket kings with an ace, setting up a heads-up match with Soyza.
Greenwood would limp into the pot with J?9? on what proved to be the decisive hand, at 100,000/200,000/200,000. Soyza opted to raise it up to 800,000 with 7?7? and Greenwood continued to the 8?10?3? flop. Soyza gave up the lead but Greenwood checked back and the 8? hit. Soyza fired in 700,000 and Greenwood called, bringing a K? river.
Soyza checked the end and Greenwood shoved for 3.8 million into 3.2 million, putting the pressure on. Soyza thought a little bit and dropped in some chips, with Greenwood being forced to show the bluff and concede the match.
"Sam's a good player, so I'm just lucky I had a good spot," Soyza said afterward.
