The day started with 227 players returning all with their eyes on firstly cashing before making their run to the final table. The bubble burst midway through the day when Sean Robinson took out his opponent with his pocket jacks against pocket queens when a jack spiked on the river to guarantee everyone a collect of $870.
Play then eased through the night until the event reached its final 24 players who re-drew for seats. Then, after just over nine hours of play, it took just over an hour to eliminate 14 runners to conclude proceedings for the evening.
Some notable players to make the money throughout the day include; Eric Assadourian (151st), Todor Kondevski (133rd), Sam Capra (120th), Peco Stojanovski (52nd) and Ali Khouiss (23rd).
The final nine players will return on Sunday, 2nd December, at 4pm local time in the poker room at The Star to resume play at the feature table. If the Day 2 action was any indication of whats in store, there should be some scintillating poker left to be played out at the Final Table and the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the action.
