partypoker MILLIONS Online

In December 2017, partypoker blew away the poker community by hosting its first-ever MILLIONS Online tournament with a $5,300 buy-in and a mouth-water $5 million guarantee. Jon “sordykrd” Van Fleet took that one down to bank a colossal $1,027,000 first-place prize.

As if $5 million wasn't enough, partypoker decided to do something so big it would be impossible for anyone to not take notice by quadrupling the guaranteed prize pool to $20 million for its second edition in December 2018. The record-breaking guarantee assures that at least four partypoker players will walk away with at least $1 million with the winner guaranteed a payday of at least $2.5 million.

The $5,300 buy-in isn't something every poker player will feel comfortable parting with or even have in their bankroll at all. This doesn't mean the tournament is limited to just those with massive bankrolls, as partypoker is hosting plenty of satellites and feeders at price points anyone can afford.

This is not the only path for players to earn their seat to the biggest online event of the year as partypoker is also giving away $3 million in MILLIONS Online tickets and satellite tickets through its weekly MILLIONS Online Leaderboards.

Every week from Monday to Sunday until late November, partypoker is hosting a new leaderboard where the top 20 players in two different categories will share $60,000 worth of tickets.

The formula is a bit complex but you can climb the leaderboard by cashing in Power Series tournaments. The formula below takes into account the buy-in of the tournament, the number of players, and where you finished in the tournament.

Leaderboard Points = 10 * [√n/√rank] * [1+log (buy-in+0.25)]

  • n = Number of player in the Power Series tournament
  • Buy-in = Cost of the Power Series tournament buy-in
  • Rank = Finishing position in the Power Series tournaments

Low-stakes players will not be competing against high stakes players as the promotion features two separate leaderboards. You can earn points for the Low Leaderboard by cashing in Power Series tournaments featuring buy-ins of $0.55 to $44. Cashing in Power Series tournaments with a buy-in of $55 or more will instead earn you points for the High Leaderboard.

The top 10 points earners in the High Leaderboard win a $5,300 MILLIONS Online ticket for the $20 million guaranteed event later this year. Check out what you can win below:
