PokerStars to Sponsor Live Poker Events Held at Casino Barcelona

Following up recent success in the European online poker market, PokerStars is strengthening their presence in Spain��s live poker market with a recently announced agreement to sponsor live events at Casino Barcelona, including their annual series, Campeonato Espa?a de Poker (CEP). The series has been running from Feb. 28 - March 4 in Barcelona, and will finish up in Perlada from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

The new collaboration will result in a few obvious changes for the tour, including adding the sponsor name to the series, making it ��Campeonato Espa?a de Poker por PokerStars.�� In addition, players can now qualify into the CEP and other Casino Barcelona events through online satellites at PokerStars.

As an added bonus for players, a coveted $30,000 Platinum Pass will be awarded to the CEP winner, who will get a chance to play in the $9 million added $25,000 PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold��em Championship (PSPC) to be held in The Bahamas in 2019.

Campeonato de Espa?a de Poker Manager Jorge Alonso also looks forward to the strengthened partnership.

In addition to serving as sponsor of the CEP, PokerStars will have a presence at the Casino Barcelona for other live events, including the European Poker Tour Barcelona from Aug. 21 through Sept. 2, where players can expect an array of big guaranteed events, healthy cash games, and yet more $30,000 value Platinum Passes up for grabs.
