Andreas Klatt Defeats Kenny Hallaert to Win Aussie Millions Event #20

Germany's Andreas Klatt surpassed $1 million in career live tournament cashes after outlasting a field of 252 entrants and a star-studded final table to win the 2018 Aussie Millions Event #20: No Limit Hold'em Six Max Shot Clock for A$144,330 ($115,860).

While Klatt recorded his first live tournament cash in 2011 according to The Hendon Mob, he became better known this past Spring after he crushed the PokerStars Championship WPT MonteDam Swing leaderboard. During this stretch he won the �1,100 PokerStars National Championship Monte Carlo for �151,445, took second place in the �5,300 PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo Main Event for �402,786 and took 10th place in the �3,300 WPT Amsterdam Main Event for �13,435.

Event #20: No Limit Hold'em Six Max Shot Clock Final Table Results

Players from five different countries were represented at the final table. The tournament became a full international affair after Australia's Anthony Luong was the first player ousted at the final table in sixth place for A$21,260.

American Stephen Graner, who is best-known for shipping the 2014 EPT Prague �5,300 Main Event for �969,000, added to his more than $2.2 million in live tournament winnings after bowing out in fifth place for A$29,765.

Australia's Heidi May, who made a name for herself this past summer after shipping a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in the $1,000 Ladies Event for $135,098, inched closer to $300,000 in lifetime career tournament cashes after hitting the rails in fourth place for $41,405.

Hong Kong's Yan Tsang, who has $1.8 million in live tournament cashes, notched his second Aussie Millions cash this festival with a podium third-place finish worth A$55,280.

This set up a heads-up battle between two experienced players with only 2016 WSOP Main Event November Niner Kenny Hallaert and Klatt being the last two players standing. Klatt won a flip to win the ANTON ring while Hallaert was "still happy" adding to his $3.9 million in live tournament cashes after collecting the runner-up prize of A$94,975.
