Players from six different countries featured on the seven-max final table. Japan's Keita Koyama notched his first live tournament cash in more than four years after he was the first player eliminated on the final table in seventh place for A$8,860.
Hong Kong's Hon Cheong Lee added to his more than $500,000 in live tournament cashes, half of which came last year, with a sixth-place finish for A$10,825.
Muehloecker fell just short of last year's success in this event and had to settle for the runner-up prize
United Kingdom's Vasco Zapantzis not only recorded his second cash in the Aussie Millions after previously taking 107th place in the Opening Event for A$3,470 but also his second overall cash in his poker history when he bowed in fifth place for A$10,825.
A pair of Australians were the next to hit the rail in succession with Harold Schmidt banking A$16,735 for fourth place and Craig Landry taking home A$20,670 for third place.
This left just Brown and Austria's Thomas Muehhloecker battling it out heads-up. Muehhloecker likely needs no introduction after his incredible performance last year where he recorded $4.3 million of his $5.4 million in live cashes.
The Austrian began his breakout last year with a victory in this very same event for A$40,125. However, he fell just short of last year's success in this event and had to settle for the runner-up prize of A$32,475. Meanwhile, Brown was able to bink his first live poker tournament victory and collected the third ANTON ring of the series.
