Hometown player Haitao Luan more than doubled his live poker earnings after shipping Aussie Millions Event #13: A$1,150 No Limit Holdem Terminator for A$48,515 ($39,210).

The event, which allowed for one reentry and players earned A$500 bounties for each player eliminated, attracted 389 entrants to generate a huge A$398,725 prize pool. This represents a 15 percent increase from the 347 entrants to enter the event the year before when local player Adrian Stone won for A$43,275.

A total of 32 players cashed in the event for a minimum of A$1,430, 24 of which were from Australia. Among the players to cash but fall short of the final table were a pair of English players with 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event final table member Jack Sinclair taking 29th place for A$1,430 and Steve Moreschi snagging 24th place for A$1,735.

Australia's Jazz Mathers added to his almost $200,000 in career live tournament cashes after securing his first Aussie Millions cash with a ninth-place finish worth A$4,900.

Raiden Kan Yew Fatt, who is one of Hong Kong's most successful tournament players with more than $1.1 million in cashes, recorded his ninth Aussie Million cash after bowing out in eighth place for A$6,125.

A trio of Aussies were the next to go with David Bonadio (seventh place - A$7,660), Andrew Miller (sixth place - A$9,700) and Stefano Accardo (fifth place - A$11,950) all hitting the rail in succession. All three players now have around $100,000 in career cashes with Bonadio finding the most success at the Aussie Millions with six Australian flags on his HendonMob.

Taiwan's Hung-Sheng Lin surpassed the $400,000 mark in career live tournament cashes after he notched his first Aussie Millions cash with a fourth-place finish worth A$15,825. Australia's Peter Kominos not only recorded his first Aussie Millions cash but his first live tournament cash according to The Hendon Mob, after taking third place for A$19,915.

This left China's Yang Zhang and Luan battling heads-up for the title. Zhang was the most successful player to appear at the final table with more than $1.2 million in live tournament cashes. However, Zhang was unable to turn his third Aussie Millions cash this festival into a victory and instead claimed the runner-up prize of A$31,150. Luan made his second Aussie Millions cash his first career win and claimed the latest ANTON ring of the festival.
