Cash game players from around the globe are getting ready to break in the new year in style with the Cash Game Festival returning to Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City in London for the fifth time from Jan. 3-7.

The Cash Game Festival began with three festivals in Tallinn, Estonia in 2014 and 2015 before it embarked on an international tour with five stops in 2016. The tour expanded to nine stops in 2017 and is planning for an amazing schedule of big stops in 2018.

Players can expect plenty of ring game action for more than 120 straight hours with festival organizers expecting at least 30 tables running at peak times with stakes ranging from 1/1 all the way up to 25/50 across a variety of games including no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, Sviten Special, open-face Chinese poker, dealer's choice and more.

One highlight of the festival will be the entertaining televised feature tables taking place twice per day at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel. The tables are a mix of lower and higher stakes players giving every type of player a chance to shine in front of family and friends. In addition, players can use this as a learning experience by reviewing their play thanks to the festival archiving every stream.

The Cash Game Festival will also be awarding a trophy and prize to the player that wins the most big blinds during any of the 10 feature tables. Norway's Jon Kyte claimed the first-ever trophy when the last Cash Game Festival last visited in London in September after winning 4,265 or 853 big blinds on a 2/5 no-limit hold'em feature table.

Ireland's Kevin Malone followed this up by winning 1,735 or 867.5 big blinds on a 1/2 pot-limit Omaha feature table during the Cash Game Festival Dublin in October before Estonia's Heiti Riisberg amazingly won 3,364 or 1,682 big blinds at a crazy 2/2 no-limit hold'em table feature table in Tallinn in November.

Outside of the amazing poker action, another main attraction is the festival's hospitality package which will include welcome drinks, a VIP dinner, a sports activity, a party and a unique sightseeing adventure. Unlike other poker festivals, players can choose to attend all of the events since they are on their own schedule as to when they wish to be playing at the tables.

Here is a look at some of the action both on and off the poker tables during the Cash Game Festival's last stop in London.

The PokerNews Live Reporting team will be covering the festival with player interviews and recaps of some of the most exciting action.
