WSOP bracelet winner Bertrand Grospellier, better known under his nickname "ElkY", is no longer a PokerStars Team Pro, PokerFuse reports.

The French professional poker player no longer appears on the PokerStars Team Pro page where his photo was displayed next to players like Chris Moneymaker and Daniel Negreanu for well over a decade.

Grospellier was the first to reach "Supernova" and "Supernova Elite" status on PokerStars

Grospellier joined PokerStars shortly after winning an invitational online tournament organized by PokerStars for eSports gamers, all the way back in 2004. Grospellier was also the first to reach "Supernova" and "Supernova Elite" status on PokerStars, two now-defunct tiers of the popular VIP scheme. In 2009, Grospellier set the world record for multi-tabling Sit & Go's during the PokerStars Grand Final in Monte Carlo, playing 62 tournaments in an hour while showing a profit.

"ElkY"'s claim to fame came after he competed as the first professional egamer in South-Korea, the most competitive ground for (online) gaming till this day. Grospellier won the PCA back in 2008 and won the WPT Festa al Lago in the same year. In 2011, he won his WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud event. He's also in possession of two WCOOP titles and a SCOOP victory.

PokerStars has said goodbye to many (longtime) Team Pros in recent weeks. Felipe Ramos broke the news of him and PokerStars going their separate ways during the PokerStars Championship Prague in December of last year. Right after New Years, Vanessa Selbst and later Jason Mercier followed suit in announcing their departure from PokerStars Team Pro.
