Kazakhstan is probably not the first place you think of when thinking about hot spots for poker. Dusk Till Dawn and partypoker LIVE are looking to change that and put the country that Borat made famous around the world on the poker map by bringing the Eurasian Poker Tour (EAPT) to the Cashville Casino in Astana, Kazakhstan from Oct. 5-14.

While both partypoker and the EAPT have visited Cashville Casino in the past, what makes this time much different is the huge schedule and mammoth prize pools the festival is boasting.

$500,000 Guaranteed for the partypoker EAPT Main Event

The highlight of the poker festival is the partypoker EAPT $1,100 Main Event with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. This will make it the biggest poker event in the casino's history according to Hendon Mob.

To put the guarantee into perspective, the previous largest guarantee at Cashville Casino took place in March 2014 when the partypoker EAPT $2,150 Main Event took place with a $350,000 guaranteed prize pool. Austria's Vladimir Dobrovolskiy outlasted a field of 165-entrants to ship that event for $87,420. This time around, the field size will likely be much bigger and more money will be awarded.

There are two ways to participate in the Main Event. Players can choose to either play an online Day 1 at partypoker or a live Day 1 at the casino.

Those choosing to start off the tournament from the comfort of their own home can play in any of the two opening flights at partypoker on Oct. 5 and Oct. 8. The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players kicking the action off with 100,000 in chips and blinds at 150/300. Players that survive eight 30-minute blind levels will go on to play Day 2.

Alternatively, players can skip the online grind and play in three starting flights at Cashville Casino on Oct. 10-12. Players choosing this path will begin with the same 100,000 chips with blinds increasing every 60 minutes in the first two opening flights and every 17 minutes on the final starting flight day.

Players bagging chips will compete for three more days Oct. 12-14 until a winner is crowned.

Plenty of Side Events

The poker festival features plenty of side events across many different poker variants with buy-ins at various levels suitable for any type of poker player.

The $550 Kazakhstan Poker Championship boasts a huge $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, the second largest of the festival. The tournament begins with three opening flights on Oct. 5-7 with surviving players competing for two more days on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.

Players with larger bankrolls can compete in the four-day $2,200 High Roller Event (8-Max) with a $70,000 guarantee on Oct. 11-14. Other tournaments include the $165 APoker.kz Cup (United Entry Days) with a $20,000 guarantee on Oct. 7-9, the $660 Mix-Max Event with a $30,000 guarantee on Oct. 7-8 and the $220 Open Face Chinese event on Oct. 14.

Satellite Your Way In

There are plenty of ways players can qualify into the partypoker EAPT $1,100 Main Event for a fraction of the cost through satellites. Cashvile Casino is hosting nine satellites with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $165.

Alternatively, players can qualify into the historic Main Event through online satellites and feeder tournaments at partypoker starting at just $1.10. The feeder tournaments feed into the $215 EAPT Kazakstan Mega Satellites on Oct. 1 and Oct. 8 where at least 50 Main Event seats are guaranteed to be awarded.
