Cash Game Poker Festival Makes First Stop in Dublin Oct. 11-15

3 min read

The Cash Game Festival is about to kick off more than 120 hours of nonstop ring game action at the Village Green Card Club in Dublin from Oct. 11-15.

First Time in Dublin

The Cash Game Festival has thus far had a successful year with stops at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City in February and September, Perla Casino in Slovenia in March, Olympic Park Casino in April, Sunborn Casino in Gibraltar in May, Casino Malta by Olympic Casino in June and Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria in August.

The festival in Dublin will prove to be different than all of the others since this is the first time it will appear in the Irish capital. Players can expect the party atmosphere of the city to transcend its way into the festival.

This will especially be true for players that take part in the hospitality package which will feature many exciting events away from the felt. Unlike tournament festivals, players can attend all of the planned events, since players can come and go as they wish when playing cash games.

This doesn't mean players shouldn't expect many of the things they have enjoyed at prior Cash Game Festivals. As is always the case at Cash Game Festival will host televised feature tables twice per day at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel. Since PokerNews will be on hand to report on all the events on and off the felt, the stream will also be embedded in our coverage for both of the festivals.

During the last stop in London, the Cash Game Festival introduced a televised feature table contest. The person that won the most big blinds during any of the 10 televised feature table sessions won a trophy and hospitality package for two to the next festival.

There is something for every type of poker player at the Cash Game Festival with stakes starting at just 1/2. Additionally, games will be available in no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, super dealer's choice, Sviten Special and much more.

JP McCann, who owns the Village Green Card Club is excited to host the Cash Game Festival as part of many big events he wants to bring to his country. He also hopes that the Cash Game Festival will be a staple in his country for years to come.

"I have a number of projects at the moment to bring high-quality events to Ireland," shared McCann. "The Cash Game Festival is one of them. I hope together with the staff at Cash Game Festival to deliver a great event in October and we will hopefully plan a bigger Cash Game Festival for 2018."

Tallinn After Dublin

If you can't attend the festival in Dublin, be sure to check out the action as it unfolds at PokerNews. You can then plan to get into the excitement at Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn, Estonia for the last stop of 2017 from Nov. 15-19. Tallinn is a special place for the Cash Game Festival as that is where it all began back in October 2014. You can read about the festival's history here.

While players can just show up and play in any of the events, the Cash Game Festival organizers recommend that you register at their website. This is especially the case if you want to play at the televised feature table.

You can register for the Dublin event here and the Tallinn event here.
