The Sky Poker Tour is returning to the United Kingdom in August following a four-year hiatus, much to the delight of the bustling Sky Poker community.

For years, the Sky Poker Tour was a big community driver on Sky Poker, but the tour ended in Oct. 2013 with a Grand Final held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, which was won by Mark Chantler for 14,985.

Sky Poker then focussed on the UK Poker Championships (UKPC) and ran these in 2014, 2015 and 2016. While popular with poker players from around the United Kingdom, Dusk Till Dawn, which hosted and helped promote the UKPC, joined forces with partypoker in early 2015 and this threw a spanner in the works so the UKPC was no more.

On Aug. 4 until Aug. 6, the Sky Poker Tour returns with a 40,000 guaranteed tournament at the Manchester 235 casino. The buy-in for this event is an affordable 220, but Sky Poker is hosting satellite tournaments online from Jun. 24 starting at only 2.20. The SPT satellites feed into a nightly SPT Semi satellite costing 48 to enter and these guarantee two Sky Poker Tour Manchester seats Monday through Thursday and five seats Friday through Sunday.

According to the Sky Poker website, more destinations are to be announced soon and it is likely that fond favorites will make a comeback, along with some new venues.

Download Sky Poker via PokerNews and youll receive a 200 percent up to 500 bonus on your first deposit plus 10 worth of tournament tokens. Once you have your Sky Poker account funded, you can earn Sky Poker Rewards, including cash bonuses and rake back, plus you can get involved in promotions such as Viva Last Vegas promotion where you can win a seat in the 7,000 Viva Last Vegas Freeroll where a 4,000 Vegas side event package and 3,000 is on the line.
