Doug Polk

One of the most popular online poker streams right now belongs to Doug Polk. The high-stakes cash game guru often braodcasts his online poker exploits when he is playing in major tournaments.

This weekend, Polk bought into the final phase of the partypoker Powerfest Event 294 for the princely sum of $5,200 and allowed his fans to watch his quest to win a share of a guaranteed $1 million via his YouTube channel.

With 274 players in the field, the prize pool swelled to $1,424,000 with the champion taking home $271,272. Polk navigated his way to the eight-handed final table where he locked up $46,992, and one by one the players busted and the prize money increased.

Polk, playing as gab_tilt99, found himself heads-up against PokerG1rl69 for the title and the biggest share of the prize pool. Early Monday morning, Polk had 121 million in chips to his opponents 19.3 million (around 16 big blinds). PokerG1rl69 raised preflop to 2,400,000. Polk, holding A?10? moved all-in and PokerG1rl69 called with A?7?.

The flop rolled out J?2?4? Polk yelled for no club, which wouldn't given his opponent a flush, but Polk's hand did hold up through the K? turn and K? river, eliminating PokerG1rl69 in second place and making a delighted Polk $271,272 richer.

You can watch the entire stream, which is more than eight hours long, right here:

Polks victory bagged him the largest score at partypoker on May 21, although there were some other impressive wins during what was the final day of the $20 million guaranteed Powerfest.

"Kuconi" took down the $200K Gtd Final Phase and turned $215 into $63,195, and "dries1234" bought into the $500K Gtd Final Phase for $1,050 and walked away with $151,385.

In the $215 buy in Main Event, a tournament with a $1 million guarantee, "LoveToPlayU" defeated "Young_Savage" heads-up to bank $213,075 while in the $1,050 buy in Main Event, another $1 million guaranteed tournament, it was Cassio "Cassiopak18" Pisapia de Almeida Kiles who topped a field of 1,590 to get his hands on a huge $268,710.

The final Powerfest Main Event of the day spanned almost 18 hours and saw Jon"sordykrd" Van Fleet triumph over 4,871 opponents to turn $215 into a bankroll-boosting $153,000.
