The final weekend of the 888poker 2017 Super XL Series has started, and on the 10th day of the series, there were six events planned. Who finished the series with a nice payday and the honors of the XL Series title? Let's take a look at the results of Day 10.

Event #48: $40,000 Super XL - Octopus

The players liking bigger buy in events prepared for the $40,000 Super XL - Octopus, a $215 buy in tournament. At 17:00 GMT the day started and there were 261 players signing up. They created a total prize pool of $80,400 and for the winner, there was the first prize of $15,678.

After "kyosti_i" from Finland busted in ninth place, the tournament reached the final table of eight players. From there on, the tournament said goodbye to "Minzopug" (eighth, $2,010), "NewBob17" (seventh, $2,412), "TylerRM" (sixth, $3,216) and "JacktheCpt" (fifth, $4,422).

With four players left, each player was guaranteed at least $6,432. That was the most money"d1sclosure" could win in this tournament after finishing in fourth place. Brazil's "marcofilho" missed out on the final heads-up and he ended up in third place for $8,844.

The last two remaining players battled for a while before "KellerA" took the victory and first-place prize of $15,678. "namlle" finished in second for $11,658.

Every finalist got at least $2,662.50, but they were all aiming for the first prize of $15,000. In the end, it was Romania's "levelingmode" who took the title and earlier mentioned first-place prize. He defeated "Juanfran1973" in the deciding heads-up after nine hours and 47 minutes of play.
