PokerStars Festival NJ: Oh Wins The Cup, Ramdin Multi-tables, Moneymaker Dominates 0001

The PokerStars Festival New Jersey $300 NL Hold'em PokerStars Cup drew a field of 107 entries over three starting flights. Twenty-one players advanced to Day 2 Monday evening, and when it was all said and done, Je Wook Oh emerged victorious for a first-place prize of $6,520.

Oh began Day 2 second in chips and immediately took charge. Sitting to the immediate left of start-of-day chip leader Thomas Miller, Oh took a chunk of his chips early on and seized the chip lead for himself, never giving it up from that point forward. With 11 players remaining, Oh picked up ace-queen and eliminated Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker who held pocket fours. An ace found the board and Moneymaker was sent packing.

Oh entered the unofficial final table of nine players with about 30 percent of the chips in play and steadily chipped up from there. His elimination of Eric Rivkin in third place gave him a 7:1 chip lead to begin heads-up play, and though Timothy Cipoletti chipped up a bit, Oh closed out the heads-up duel soon after.

Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker is thoroughly enjoying his time at the PokerStars Festival New Jersey.

Playing in the PokerStars New Jersey Championship of Online Poker he chopped the $350 Sunday Special $75,000 Guaranteed event heads up, and finished third in both the $100 Heads-Up Pot-Limit Omaha and the $50 Six-Max PLO Rebuy.

Then, fresh off of almost $20,000 in cashes, Moneymaker started the live events bagging stack in the $340 PokerStars Cup and winning the $560 PLO Hi-Lo Turbo.

Monday he made 11th in the PokerStars Cup and talked to PokerNews about all this success in a feature story entitled Moneymaker Enjoying Live and Online Success at PokerStars Festival New Jersey.

Ramdin Multi-tables

Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin multi-tabled both Day 2 of the $500 PokerStars New Jersey Championship of Online Poker Main Event online, and Day 2 of the PokerStars Festival New Jersey $300 PokerStars Cup opening event live at the Resorts Casino Hotel Monday.

Running deep in both, Ramdin said he really enjoyed the experience and the fact PokerStars is back in the United States, telling PokerNews all about his escapades in a feature story on PokerNews entitled Team Pro Ramdin Enjoys Multi-Table Runs Online and Live at PokerStars Festival NJ.

More from the PokerStars Festival New Jersey will be featured on PokerNews in the coming days with the first of two starting flights for the $1,100 Main Event kicking off Wednesday at 11 a.m.
