A 27-year-old roofer from Depew, New York took down the 2016 Seneca Fall Poker Classic $300 Pot Limit Omaha event inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on Thursday.

Jeff Salhab had a 2:1 chip lead heads up with Matt Marcinkiewicz when they agreed to a chop, giving Salhab $5,897 and the title.

4Dave Piano$1,954
5Mark Roberts$1,450
6Varun Palackan$1,128

The event drew 80 entries and reentries creating a $20,140 prize pool that paid the top eight. Thomas Keeper busted on the money bubble before Anthony Falco took eighth, running his short stack into a Marcinkiewicz monster.

Seventh place went to Chad Martin when he ran queens into Matt Shanahan's aces and only Shanahan improved. Varun Palackan then got his jacks cracked sixth and Mark Roberts ran out of gas fifth, getting it in with a straight draw and missing.

Dave Piano had the lead for a good portion of the day, but was outrun four pots in a row before finishing fourth.

They traded chips around three handed until things were relatively even. Finally, Salhab doubled up through Shanahan with a rivered straight, then sent him home third flopping a flush to crack Shanahan's kings.

Salhab, who was in contention all day after busting big stack Bruce Pace in the early going, then agreed to the chop that left him with the most money, the coveted trophy and Seneca Niagara poker glory. Salhab's game of choice is PLO cash and he entered the tournament after getting a last minute call from his dad telling him to go for it.
