RunGood Poker Series Tulsa: RunGood Pro Ben Reason Tops Day 1A Leader Board
The first of three Day 1 flights in the RunGood Series Main Event at the Hard Rock Tulsa kicked off Friday at 7 pm and drew 82 entrants. Over the course of 12 levels the field was trimmed to 19 survivors and leading them all is Ben Reason with 228,500.
Cary Marshall, Brady Bullard, Joe Ferguson and Mark Martin are the only other players to bag up six-figure stacks. Michael Klatt, Andrew Dodson, Huy Nguyen and Mina Greco also advanced to Day 2 but start at the bottom of the counts.
Marshall was below the average stack going into the last level of the night but doubled his stack up three times. He doubled against Stephen McKinney and Rees Skruggs with two Broadway cards.
Brady Bullard could have landed in the top spot, but mucked two tens in a spot where McKinney pushed with fives and Bill Cole had jack-ten suited. Bullard's stack was around double the starting stack returning from dinner break and he nearly quadrupled it in four levels.
There was quite a contingent of RunGood pros that took to the felt today but didn't survive the day - Justin Gardenhire, Daniel Lowery, Ray Henson and Papa Karn. A few more are expected to join on Saturday.
Saturday hosts two flights - one at noon and the second at 7 pm. Each flight will also play down to 15% of the field or a full 12 levels, whichever should come first. Follow all the action right here on PokerNews.com until we crown a winner.
