The Second of Four $1 Million Freerolls at PokerStars Takes Place on July 17
PokerStars has just announced the second $1 million freeroll tournament of 2016 will take place on Sunday, July 17, at 12:04 ET.
The tournament, which is aptly named PokerStars $1 Million Freeroll, is scheduled to pay out 75,000 players with the winner guaranteed to take home $10,000, which is half of the $20,000 first place prize awarded in the first freeroll that ran on March 19.
Players will have nine opportunities to qualify into the tournament via daily PokerStars $1 Million Freeroll All-In Shootout Qualifier satellites running each day from July 9-17 where a total of 8,192 players will be awarded a ticket to the PokerStars $1 Million Freeroll. Tickets to these events can be earned by opting in through the Challenges Window and completing any of the easy daily challenges listed below. The daily challenges will be available the previous day of the qualifier.
- Play one real money hand of poker (cash game, multi-table tournament, Spin & Go, or Sit & Go tournament)
- Wager in a casino game
- Make a real-money sports wager (excluding free bets) on BetStars on any sporting market
In addition, players can win an additional ticket by completing a challenge on July 15 to the PokerStars $1 Million Freeroll Skill Qualifier on July 16. The difference between this freeroll and the others is that players will be competing on the felts instead of letting luck determine their fate in all-in shootouts. Additionally, the top 15,000 players will receive a ticket to the PokerStars $1 Million Freeroll, or almost double the amount of the all-in shootouts.
