2016 Seneca Summer Slam

The 2016 Seneca Summer Slam kicks off today with Event #1 of a 10-event schedule, the $1,000 Deep Stack High Roller that sees $20,000 guaranteed to first place. The biggest highlight of the schedule will be the $600 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool taking place July 29-31.

2016 Seneca Summer Slam Starts Today 101

The second event on the schedule is the $200 No-Limit Hold'em tournament with four starting flights and a $50,000 guarantee. It kicks off on Friday, July 22 with two starting flights that day and two more on Saturday, July 23. In this one, players will receive 15,000 in tournament chips and unlimited reentries will be allowed. Registration and reentry will remain open until the start of Level 9 during each starting flight.

Event #7 on the schedule offers a different variant of poker, with the $300 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament that boasts a $15,000 guarantee. This event will take place on Thursday, July 28.

The $600 Main Event will take place July 29-31, complete with two starting flights, unlimited reentries until the start of Level 11, a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and a starting stack of 30,000 in chips. There will be one starting flight on Friday, July 29 and the second on Saturday, July 30, before the event plays to a conclusion on Sunday, July 31.

Last summer, William Liang, a then 29-year-old Toronto, Canada-based project manager for a software company, came to Niagara Falls, NY, for the weekend and won the Summer Slam Main Event. He topped a field of 504 entries and earned $61,535 in first-place prize money.
