Did Tom Brady Do It? Calling the Clock On Three-Time Super Bowl Champ Richard Seymour

2 min read

Richard Seymour is most known for his prowess on the NFL field outside of the poker world, earning countless accolades over his career. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, a first-round draft pick, and an All-American in college, where he played for the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

Seymour's professional football career saw him drafted by the New England Patriots in 2001 and stay with the team until 2009, when he was traded to the Oakland Raiders. He played four seasons in Oakland before hanging up his helmet.

Nowadays, Seymour can often be found at major poker tournaments. He's played in World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events, and now he's made his way down to the Bahamas for the 2016 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Seymour has four cashes on his live tournament record, including two deep runs in WPT events where he finished in 29th and 37th places.

After failing to get anything going in the PCA $5,300 Main Event, Seymour has played a few side events, and he now finds himself amongst the competitors in the $25,000 High Roller. Seymour busted on Day 1 on Tuesday when his pocket fives couldn't survive against Sean Winter's AxKx, but he reentered and finished out the day with 43,700 in chips.

On one of his breaks from play on Tuesday, Seymour was kind enough to spend a minute with PokerNews' Sarah Herring for an edition of Calling the Clock. Check it out.
