After five-days of exciting action, German businessman Konrad Swinarski won the Full Tilt International Poker Open Dublin Main Event for $47,064.

The Full Tilt IPO Dublin Main Event took place at the Regency Hotel Events Centre from Oct. 21-26, with 1,498 entries in the $250 buy-in event to generate a healthy $326,564 prize pool. The tournament awarded the top 151 entrants, with players in the money on Day 2.

As one might expect, the final table was full of Irish poker players including Alan White (3rd - $21,250), John Fitzgerald (6th - $10,600), Michael Stephens (7th - $9,050), Patrick Kiely (8th - $7,650), and Eric Doyle (9th - $6,250).

However, despite the plethora of Irish players on the final table, the heads-up battle was an all German affair with Swinarski battling fellow countryman Christian B?cher to claim the trophy and the top prize. Thanks to a heads-up deal the Bavarian duo agreed to, B?cher was able to walk away with more than the posted second place prize, banking an even $42,000 for his efforts.

Swinarski, who is also a former power-lifter, utterly dominated the final table, knocking out six of his opponents singlehandedly. He was understandably excited by winning the tournament thanking both Full Tilt and the city of Dublin.

"I started playing poker at Full Tilt," said Swinarski. "Everything I have achieved started there. Nevertheless, I wouldnt have won this event without the great generosity and welcoming atmosphere I found in Dublin. They are fantastic people who welcomed me with open arms. Thank you Full Tilt and thank you Dublin."
