The top 45 places paid out in the event, and the final table was reached by notables such as Christina Lindley, David Levi, Danny Nguyen, and Gavin Griffin. Lindley ended up falling in seventh place for $20,280, and Levi bounced in fourth place for $40,570. That left Torosyan to battle with Nguyen and Griffin, and it was the latter that took the worst of it with a third-place finish worth $54,760.

Griffin went out at the hands of Torosyan after the two saw a flop of Q?9?7?. Griffin soon found himself all in with the A?10? up against Torosyan's A?9?. The A? on the turn and the 2? on the river delivered the pot to Torosyan and the final blow to Griffin.

After Griffin hit the rail, Torosyan and Nguyen agreed to a deal that saw Torosyan take $110,420 and Nguyen $96,370. At the time of the deal, it was reported that Torosyan had a chip lead of greater than 2-1. Left to play for was a L.A. Poker Classic $10,000 Main Event seat.

Following a bit of action between the two, Nguyen got the last of his chips in with the K?6? against the 7?7? for Torosyan. The Q?5?2?2?J? board didn't give Nguyen what he needed to stay alive, and with that Torosyan was crowned the champion.

Prior to this victory, Torosyan held just over $181,000 in live tournament earnings. Some of his results included two World Series of Poker final tables, with one coming in 2008 and another in 2014. For those, Torosyan earned $50,186 and $55,319, respectively, but this win will go down as the largest score of his career.

Other notables to finish in the money in the Commerce Poker Series $1,650 Main Event were Cord Garcia (13th - $7,240), Adam Geyer (23rd - $4,870), Steve Chanthabousay (29th - $3,770), and Matt Salsberg (45th - $3,250).
