WSOP Betting Tips: 5 Brits to Watch

With the 2015 World Series of Poker already underway, we have decided to take a look at the prospects of UKs Top players in Las Vegas this summer. The UK currently stands third in the WSOP bracelet winner ranks with 30, behind Canadas 47 and USAs unbeatable 938. So who of this years crowd is most likely to increase UKs numbers? Tonybet gives you huge WSOP betting supply to find your favorite and win big.

The first name that come to mind is, of course, Stephen Chidwick. Currently ranked 7th by the Global Poker Index, Chidwick is Englands no. 1 hope of winning a bracelet. Since 2011 he made seven WSOP final tables, with the third place finish in 2012 $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event being his best achievement so far. With just over 350,000 already in his pockets this year, Chidwick is by far the main UK contender at scoring a bracelet in 2015.

It comes as no surprise that his chances at taking down at least one of the WSOP events are also valued the highest by the bookies. TonyBet, which has arguably the biggest WSOP betting supply gives Chidwick 7/2 odds at claiming the most prestigious poker trophy. Hes also leading the polls for the most in the money finishes at 5/2.

Second in line for the bracelet race with 6/1 is, of course, David Vamplew. The 2010 United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Main Event champ already has one cash in this years WSOP campaign and is hungry for more. The Scot started the year with an impressive $239,500 win taking down the $9,700 No Limit Hold'em - Turbo 6 Handed event at the Poker Caribbean Adventure at Paradise Island back in January and is coming to the World Series in a very good shape.

Tonybet gives you 11/2 on your money if you decide to go with David.

Another two contenders for the WSOP glory are the 2010 European Poker Tour Deauville Main Event champ Jake Cody and Max Silver. The latter enters the WSOP arena with high confidence after taking down the $24,000 Aria High Roller XIII event in Las Vegas just a few days ago. If thats not a strong-enough statement for a bracelet, then nothing is.

Both Codys and Silvers chances at bringing home a bracelet and scoring the most ITM finishes among all UK players are valued the same, however, in a head-to-head matchup for the most cashes its Silver who has a slight edge at 4/5 vs 9/10 on Tonybet. This makes sense as Silver is known to have a couple of Pot Limit Omaha cashes throughout his career while Cody is exclusively a no-limit Holdem player.

But perhaps the one UK player who is motivated by the WSOP frenzy the most is Chris Moorman. It was four years ago when he came so close to winning a bracelet three times in a row but never made it all the way. It all started with the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed event where Moorman finished third just to hit the wall two weeks later by finishing runner-up to Joe Ebanks in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed Championship.

And it didnt stop there as just four months later he once again came as close to the bracelet as it gets just to see his heads-up opponent Elio Fox take it home after winning the WSOP Europe 10,000 Main Event. And even though all this happened back in 2011, you can be sure Moorman is still after his WSOP glory.

Try your luck at Tonybet for one of the most accomplished online superstars and poker book authors winning a bracelet at whopping 13/1.

Looking at this years WSOP from a punters perspective the best option is definitely backing Chidwick in all available wagers. The 5/2 on him scoring the most ITMs among all UK players is a no brainer, while small stakes on Vamplew (at 7/1) and Silver (at 15/2) may also result in a nice payday. Backing Chidwick in all possible H2H ITM matchups is also a good idea as all of his pairings, including Vamplew, Silver, Cody and Boeree just cant compare with him. At least not now.
