2015 RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event Day 1b/c: Guarantee Smashed 0001

On Saturday, the final two starting flights of the 2015 RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event took place. Combining with the 125 entries from Day 1a, the 112 from Day 1b and 126 from Day 1c generated a field size of 363 entries and a prize pool over $200,000, more than doubling the event's $100,000 guarantee.

Although Miguel Hernandez bagged up 187,500 in chips on Day 1b and Justin Gardenhire finished with 153,500 after Day 1c, Jesse McVicker still remained as the man to catch after amassing 254,000 on Day 1a.

Hernandez earned a good chunk of chips in Level 11 (1,000/2,000/300) when he doubled up through Bryan Campanello. On the 10?9?5? flop, the two got all the money in. With the cards shown, it was Campanello's J?J? versus the 8?6? for Hernandez. After the 4? turn card kept Campanello in front, the 7? on the river delivered a flush for Hernandez to win him the pot.

Gardenhire actually busted on Day 1b before jumping into the field on Day 1c and running up his large stack. Impressively, Gardenhire ran it up in just four levels of play after entering at the last minute before registration closed. Now he'll be on of the top stack advancing to Day 2.

Other notables still alive in the final 87 are Jonathan Gaviao (180,500), Dan Martin (101,000), Keith Ferrera (86,500), and Ryan Tepen (35,000).

The Day 2 table and seat draw can be viewed by clicking here, and play will begin at 12 p.m. local time. With nearly $50,000 up top for the winner, plus a $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat, Day 2 will be a fun, competitive day of poker you won't want to miss.
