The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) recently completed its second stop of Season 6 when Ervin Bjerga topped a field of 354 runners to win the MSPT Running Aces Harness Park for $91,941. Now, the tour turns its attention to the state next door for the Wisconsin State Poker Championship, a $1,100 buy-in $200,000 guaranteed Main Event that will take place at Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells from Feb. 14-22.

"This is the fifth time the MSPT has visited the property, but it marks the first time the tournament has officially been branded the Wisconsin State Poker Championship," said MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. "The preliminary super satellites have set record numbers, so we're looking forward to this being the biggest and best Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells stop to date."

Indeed, since early January the property has held $65 buy-in super satellites that qualify the top 20 percent of players to $250 buy-in qualifiers, which begin on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. local time. These qualifiers will be held throughout the week leading up to the Main Event from Friday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 22. What's more, the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on hand to capture all the action from that event.

"Each time the MSPT is here our event numbers go up and up, obviously the players enjoy this tournament," Beth Anacker, Ho-Chunk Gaming Senior Marketing Manager, previously told PokerNews. "It is a crazy time here, but the staff and I look forward to this event."

Back in September, Benjamin Berlowski topped a field of 349 entrants to capture the title and $90,632 in prize money. Other past winners of the MSPT Ho-Chunk include Jason Sell (Season 5), Daniel Bekavac (Season 4), Josh Reichard (Season 4), and Joe Illingworth (Season 3).
