The field size was up one from the day before, and with 42 entries a prize pool of $1,029,000 was generated. Once again, the top six spots were paid out, and this time around it was Andrew Robl finishing as the "bubble boy" when he busted out in seventh place. According to reports from Poker Telegraph, Robl fell when his pocket tens couldn't hold up against the AxKx for Marchese.
After Robl's bust out, Roger Sippl was the first in-the-money elimination, and he was followed out the door by Andy Philachack in fifth place. Philachack was bounced at the hands of Gregg when his A?Q? couldn't win the flip against Gregg's pocket eights. He earned $61,740.
With four players left, Daniel Alaei found himself all in and at risk with the K?10?. Unfortunately for him, his hand was dominated by Kaverman's KxQx. Unable to improve, Alaei took his leave with a $82,320 payday, and the the final three players agreed to a chop.
In similar fashion to the the night before, Marchese was awarded with the most money from the deal. On Friday night, he scored $383,060 after a heads-up deal with Lamb, and he then added another $298,816 to his pockets just 24 hours later. Kaverman earned the second most money at $282,435, and Gregg collected $262,529.
With the result, Marchese moved to just under $9,800,000 in career live tournament earnings, and he's gotten himself off to a blistering start to 2015 after finishing up his best year ever from live events in 2014. Last year, Marchese won $4,472,478 and could challenge that if his early pace keeps going.
