Global Poker Index: Schemion, Seiver Still Lead; Negreanu Rejoins Overall Top 10

The GPI also ranks the top performers of the year over two six-month periods as calculated by the USA Today Global Poker Index point system.

Another quiet week at the top of the overall GPI rankings this week, with Ole Schemion continuing to lead the rest of the field by a decent-sized margin for a 10th-straight week.
Following his successes earlier this month at the European Poker Tour Deauville, Davidi Kitai now sits in third position just behind Pratyush Buddiga. Meanwhile Daniel Negreanu this week finds himself back in the overall top 10, nudging Stephen Chidwick from the list as the latter fell from No. 8 to No. 11 this week.
Negreanu, whose career tournament earnings of just under $30 million puts him first in the all-time money list, is of course among those who have previously held the No. 1 position in the overall GPI rankings. While he has been either near the top 10 or comfortably inside it almost constantly since mid-2013, Negreanus last instance of being ranked first was in April 2014.
