After Day 1 of the 100,000 Super High Roller from the 2014 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo? Casino EPT Grand Final, several players dove into a live-streamed 500/1,000 no-limit hold'em cash game.

The table was filled with the likes of Isaac Haxton, Daniel Cates, Christoph Vogelsang, Richard Yong, Alec Torelli, Paul Newey, and Phil Ivey. Both Yong and Ivey joined the action about 30 minutes after the game began, and all seven players bought in for 250,000.

The game didn't last too long, only about three hours, but there were a few notable results. Cates emerged as the largest winner, while Vogelsang finished on the other end of the spectrum, losing the most. Haxton finished down a mere 12 big blinds.

After the game, PokerNews' own Frank Op de Woerd caught up with Haxton, Cates, and Vogelsang and each spoke for a few minutes about the game. Among the topics included are a few big hands that were played, the dynamics of the game, and guesses as to whether or not it will run again during the festival.
