Hollywood Poker Open St. Louis $1,800 Main Event Kicks Off this Weekend 0001

Season 2 of the Hollywood Poker Open Regional Tournament Series continued this week at the Hollywood Casino St. Louis, which has been playing host to a 30-event schedule. This weekend, things will culminate with the $1,800 HPO Regional Main Event, which will play out from March 15-16.

The HPO stop in St. Louis has already crowned a plethora of preliminary winners including Bruce Balling (Event #1 $300 NLHE), Robert Pryzgoda (Event #6 $300 NLHE), and Gary Lambert (Event #7 $125 NLHE), just to name a few. Likewise, former European Poker Tour Copenhagen champ and St. Louis local Tim Vance has been spotted playing throughout the week.

Two others players expected to be in attendance this weekend are Chris Moneymaker and Lee Childs.

Heres the deal. The HPO is serious about being a presence when it comes to poker, said Bill Bruce, Director for the Hollywood Poker Open. We have gone out and hired one of the most recognizable names and face in the game of poker in Chris Moneymaker, we have brought in PokerNews to give players the best possible onsite live reporting, the fees are less than other events, and the structures are amazing. I hope everyone will play the nearest HPO regionals when they have the opportunity.
