Mid-States Poker Tour Belle of Baton Rouge Main Event Begins Today
Season 5 of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) continues this weekend with an $1,100 Main Event from the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino. The visit to Louisiana is the first ever for the MSPT, and it happens to take place during Mardi Gras.
The MSPT Belle of Baton Rouge comes on the heels of a successful opener at Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, MN, which attracted 353 entrants and created a prize pool of $355,200.
Day 1a of the MSPT Belle of Baton Rouge Main Event begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, and the second Day 1 flight will take place on Saturday at 5 p.m. The players who advance on Day 1 will return on Sunday for Day 2 and play down to a champion.
Some of the players expected to participate in the event are Jeremy "theChemist" Gaubert, Ben Mintz, and Allen Kessler.
