Kamel Tir Wins France Poker Series High Roller in Deauville for �131,000

Season 10 of the European Poker Tour continues this week with 2014 PokerStars.fr EPT Deauville �5,300 Main Event in France, which the PokerNews Live Reporting Team is currently live reporting from. During this, other notable tournaments are concluding such as the France Poker Series (FPS) �1,000 Main Event, which we told you about yesterday, and the FPS �2,250 High Roller.

The latter tournament exceeded even the most optimistic expectations by attracting 303 players and creating a prize pool of �654,480. In fact, so many players turned out that the tournament had to be extended an extra day.

Among those who cashed were Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand ��ElkY�� Grospellier (32nd - �4,500), Brazil��s Joao Baumgarten (28th - �5,100), Germany��s Robert Haigh (25th - �5,800), Canada��s Shayam Srinivasan (22nd - �6,400), UK��s Gareth Teatum (21st - �6,400), France��s Jean-Noel Thorel (20th - �7,070), Philippe Ktorza (16th - �8,050), and Mathew Frankland (12th - �10,100).

The final table was a global affair that included Belgium, Poland, Lebanon, Italy and the UK, but it would be one of the three Frenchman �� Kamel Tir �� that would walk away with the trophy and �131,000 first-place prize.
