WSOP Main Event Champion Ryan Riess Appears on ESPN College Gameday
During the fall, ESPN College Gameday travels across the United States to various colleges and universities to preview the weekend's NCAA football action. At the end of every show, hosts Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit are joined by a celebrity to pick winners in the marquee matches, and on Saturday 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Ryan Riess joined the crew alongside competitive eater Joey Chestnut.
Riess' Michigan State Spartans were facing off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the B1G Football Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and the 2013 Main Event champ, who recently sold action for the high rollers and super high rollers at the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and Aussie Millions, was the only person on set to correctly pick Sparty in an upset:
Chestnut's pick, "Ohio," didn't even participate in the game.
Riess' appearance on the program prompted several players and fans to take to Twitter:
