Jonathan Karamalikis Among New Full Tilt Poker Ambassadors for ANZPT 0001

During Day 1a of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) Queenstown Snowfest Main Event, acclaimed Australian tournament director Danny McDonagh revealed three new Full Tilt Poker ambassadors for the ANZPT. McDonagh announced that Jonathan Karamalikis, Liam ORourke and Tom Grigg are hitting the felt in Queenstown for the first time representing Full Tilt Poker and the ANZPT.

The trio will have similar roles to the four new Full Tilt Poker ambassadors for the UKIPT, which were announced last week ahead of the series in Galway. Each ambassador will participate in ANZPT events throughout the year and play online at Full Tilt Poker as Red Pros. They will also be involved in a number promotions and player activities exclusive to Full Tilt Poker qualifiers.

Our ANZPT Tour Ambassadors represent everything Full Tilt Poker stands for, said Dustin Iannotti, Full Tilt Pokers Senior Manager of Pro, Celebrity & VIP Marketing. They are talented players with a passion for constantly improving their skill set, supporting grassroots poker and spreading the word about the game.

Here's a look at the new Full Tilt Poker ambassadors:

Jonathan Karamalikis

With lifetime winnings of over $6 million, Jono Karamalikis is one of the most respected poker pros in Australia. His career highlight to date is taking down the 2012 Asia Championship of Poker High Rollers Event in Taipai for almost $480,000. However, Karamalikis is probably best known for his exploits on the virtual felt, where he's cashed for more than $4 million in tournaments under the name "xMONSTERxDONGx."

Liam ORourke

Like Karamalikis, New Zealand representative Liam ORourke is better known for his success online where he plays under the screen name "MON3Y$HOT." But ORourke has also graced a number of high-profile tournament tables, including the 2012 ANZPT Sydney Main Event where he finished second place for $152,426. He also finished 3rd in the ANZPT Gold Coast Main Event in 2010 for $58,801.

Tom Grigg

Tom Grigg turned his attention to poker after spending years in the world of academia. With a number of six-figure cashes under his belt from live tournaments C including a third place finish at last years ANZPT Melbourne Main Event C Grigg looks to add more live tournament success to his online accomplishments under the moniker "tollgate."
