Full Tilt Poker officially released the schedule for the 23rd edition of its popularFull Tilt Poker Online Poker Series (FTOPS). The series will kick off on Sunday, Aug. 4 with Event #1: $200+15 No-Limit Holdem Re-entry with a $500,000 guarantee.

The schedule for FTOPS XXIII will consist of 39 events with $8 million in guaranteed prize money. The upcoming FTOPS schedule will be offering one event more than the last FTOPS series but less than FTOPS XX, which capped at 45 events for the largest schedule offered. The series takes place from Aug. 4 through Aug. 18. The culmination will come with a $600+$35 No-Limit Holdem Re-entry Main Event that boasts an impressive $1.5 million guarantee.

FTOPS XXII, which ran through the month of March, awarded nearly $2.2 million in prize money after it saw 3,653 entries in the $640 buy-in Main Event alone, with feel fine collecting the hefty prize of $392,332 for first place.

FTOPS XXIII will feature different game variants consisting of Omaha hi-lo, Razz, Stud, pot limit Omaha, 2-7 triple draw, seven card Stud hi-lo, and of course no-limit holdem mixed, with a variety of structures like re-entry, multi-entry, and double and triple chance events.

Five Rush tournaments will also be offered, along with three new game types including five card Omaha (Event #9), six card Omaha (Event #28), and Courchevel (Event #13). Irish, five card Stud, and Escalator tournaments are also included.

Courchevel is a variant of Omaha Hi in which players are dealt five hole cards instead of four before the flop, along with a single shared community card known as the flopet. On the flop, two more community cards are revealed. Courchevel then proceeds similarly to a standard Omaha hand, with players required to use exactly two of their five hole cards and three of the community cards to make the best five-card hand at showdown.

On Saturday, Aug. 17, Event #35: $200+$100 No-Limit Holdem Ante from Start Re-Entry takes place at 16:00 GMT and boasts a $1 million guarantee, which is the second largest prize guarantee behind the Main Event.

All players who manage to make a final table in any FTOPS XXIII event will receive a limited edition FTOPS jacket. Players who win an event will receive a jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, and a coveted gold jersey avatar for use on Full Tilt Poker. The player who finishes first on the FTOPS XXIII Leaderboard will win a custom Full Tilt Poker avatar and a prize package that includes entry to every FTOPS XXIV event (except the Tw-Day Event) worth about $11,000 in tournament entries.

John kleath Leathart topped the FTOPS XXII Leaderboard finishing the series in first after taking down Event #32: $100+$9 No-Limit Holdem Rush, for his first ever FTOPS title and a $19,830 payday.

For the last player eliminated before the money in any FTOPS event, they will have an opportunity to win an entry to the Bouncebackability Freeroll where a buy in to the FTOPS XXIV Main Event will be offered. The Bouncebackability Freeroll will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Satellite tournaments for FTOPS XXIII will begin Friday, July 5. Players will also have the opportunity to win an FTOPS seat for a fraction of the price through Full Tilt Pokers Steps Tournaments. FTP will also be offering a Satellite Challenge for the chance to win extra tournament buy-ins.

For the chance to turn a smaller buy-in into a large score, the Mini FTOPS XXIII will start on Sunday, Sept. 8. Mini FTOPS XXIII will feature a $70+$5 Main Event, a $200+$15 Two-Day Event, and a $24+$2 No-Limit Holdem 6-Max Knockout event.
