---|---|---|
1 | Chanracy Khun | 2,393,000 |
2 | Benjamin Pollak | 1,899,000 |
3 | Tahiri Hassani Najib | 1,636,000 |
4 | Bruno Garcia Cotelo | 722,000 |
5 | Sergio Fernandez | 548,000 |
6 | Antonio Alfaia | 273,000 |
Day 4 began with 13 players, and Nikola Ivancic and Anaras Alekberovas were quickly eliminated in 13th and 12th place, respectively. After three-betting ti 47,000 over an open from Khun, Fernandez called a 156,000-chip shove from Ivancic, who held ace-king. Fernandez only had eight-seven suited, but a seven on the river gave him a winning pair and eliminated Ivancic.
Alekberovas stuck more than two-thirds of his stack in the middle preflop against Alfaia, and then the rest went in on a board of A?Q?2?. Alfaia called with a queen, and Alekberovas rolled over king-high. The turn and river both bricked, and Alekberovas busted in 12th place.
When play was 11-handed, Khun took the chip lead from Fernandez. Khun was all-in and at risk with ace-king against Fernandez's pocket kings, but found an ace on the flop. The turn and river both bricked, doubling Khun to 1.6 million chips. Fernandez dipped to 800,000.
The next player to bow out was Erich Kollmann. Fernandez did the deed, winning a flip with ace-queen against Kollmann's pocket nines. It was Fernandez's turn to hit an ace on the flop, eliminating Kollmann in 11th place.
The remaining 10 players then combined to make an unofficial final table where David Konstandoff was the first to exit. With the blinds at 6,000/12,000,2,000, Mario Sanchez opened from under the gun, Konstandoff called on his direct left, and Hassani called in the hijack seat. Pollak then went into the tank, and squeezed to 119,000. Sanchez folded, Konstandoff moved all in for 525,000 more, and Hassani folded. Pollak tank-called with pocket queens, and was well ahead of Konstandoff's pocket eights. Pollak flopped a set and held as the turn and river both bricked.
Sanchez was sent off in ninth place when he ran ace-ten into the ace-king of Hassani. Sanchez found no help from the flop, turn, or river, and left for the cage to collect 19,000 for his efforts.
Frenchman Paul Testud exited WPT Barcelona in eighth place. He opened to 40,000 in middle position with the blinds at 8,000/16,000/2,000. Hassani three-bet to 100,000 on the button, Testud moved all in for roughly 200,000, and Hassani quickly called with kings. Tetud tabled ace-queen, needing some help, and only received a meaningless pair of queens on the river.
A few hands later, the official final-table bubble was burst by Alvaro Ballesteros. After opening for a raise, Khun called a three-bet shove of 350,000 from Ballesteros at the same blind level. Khun's ace-jack was racing against Ballesteros' pocket nines, and Khun hit a jack on the flop. Neither the turn nor the river improved Ballesteros' hand, and he was eliminated just shy of the final table.
